How to determinate correctly which carb size (40-45-48 ) to use according engine capacity and max rpm ? There are a lot of informations on the web.

Thank.

Generally accepted rule of thumb for road use below 350 bhp use 45's above this use 48's for racing make the change at 300bhp, but be prepared to have alot of grief trying to get a 300bhp engine to run on 48's below 3000 rpm.
Most people running 48's on the road have them choaked down so they are in effect 45's just to get them to run.

That a nice bit of kit and appears to be a water heated one and also appears quite low in height so hopefully won't created any under bonnet clearance problems depending what vehicle it's intended for.

Could be time to make the jump and fit Throttle bodies, being mapable, this takes all the undriviability out of the equation, If you have to buy a new set of IDA/IDFs theres not a lot of money difference, and webers are notoriously expensive to set up if you need chokes, jets, emulsions, all x 8 can get to serious money.

In fact I can have some S/H 45 DRLA for an good price.

But I think also to ITB solution. Which type of ITB did you use ?

This 5.3 is good for 350BHP.

If you can get 45's at a good price I would go 45's.

where do you source those ITB setups from? I've been looking around and pretty much came to the conclusion I'd have to mill down a fuel injected manifold and make a plate to take something like the accurate injection extrudabody ITBs.

Is that a TVR piece?

The manifolds are TVR racecar ones, I got mine from DJEs  I think JEs sold them as well, mine have been milled so they incline about 10 degs to try and straighten out the transition in the manifold, the TBs are Jenvey, but badged Luminition, look on the back and they have Jenvey cast on there!!

I paid a LOT less than the book price, but I dd buy 8 pairs, he other ones went out to the states to a mate,
Ill put the airbox on tomorrow and take a couple more pics,

the site is very informative too.

I also ground the fins of a pair of P5 rocker covers, That saved LOADS of weight
