hullo everybody I am brand new to this site and now having a Roverv8 in my consul I am going to be here on a regular basis, first problem can anybody tell where to find the engine numbers on Rover v8 engines I have only just got the car and have a possible head gasket gone but have absolutelty no idea how or where to find the identification on the block.
need to gae a full gasket kit for top end rebuld at least,could be worse but wont really know unitl I go in.[/list]

Rover engine number is either on a pad on the block next to the dip stick, or if it's a very early engine, it's on a raised pad behind the LH cylinder head on the block to bellhousing joint.
