Can anyone recommend the best book to buy on supercharging? I only have FI mentioned briefly in tuning books but it would be nice to have a dedicated book- have heard that the one by Corky Bell is good and have got amazon vouchers to use up though there are several on there!

Lol yes I know but books are handy as you tend to learn lots more flicking through aimlessly!! Also its easier reading a book than staring at a comp screen!!!
Just want to read tried and tested methods and results and generally learn the topic as a whole!

I like the Corky Bell books but others on here are not so keen on them! The SC book covers the different types of supercharging clearly and won't bog you down if you're not a graduate. The John Humphries book published by Haynes is also a good read, it covers both supercharging and turbocharging. There are probably other good titles out there but having never owned a supercharged vehicle () I have never felt the need to delve more deeply into the subject.

the Alan Allard book "turbocharging and supercharging" ISBN 0-85059-744-7 is pretty good taking you from basics to matching turbos using compressor maps. the first edition is a bit long in the tooth being first published in 1982, the much updated second edition is still pretty good (1986), the theory dosen't change that much, though in practice people use higher compression these days compared to some of the recomendations in his book.

Yes I was wondering between Street Supercharging, A Do-It-Yourself Guide To and the Corky Bell one, might flip a coin

Search Amazon, there are a few books.

Hugh Maccines does one ( cant rem name ) and there's another one I cant remember.

Great help, I know :D

Or there's one by A Graham Bell called Forced Inuduction something.....

Or a more general book I think is great, Julian Edgar's 21st Century Performance.
