(One for Marki Again   )

At last i have upgraded the PC here at home,
the 700mhz p3 i got is old and slow :(

i now have a a dual core intel celeron D machine, 2.0GB processor
and 1Gb memory (instead of the 256k i had  )
and 160gb hard drive.

i have managed to transfere most of the bits between the machines,
BUT how do i move messages from my email?
i managed to export the address book to outlook express on the new machine, but cant seem to save and move the messages,
is there another way to do this????

So we can put the bags of coal to rest finally then?

Always a way to do it M8 but I need to know what mail software your using. Outlook, Outlook express, Thunderbird or whatever. Also need to know your new software. Is your new operating system Vista? If so get another gig of ram in there and watch her fly. Vista needs 2GB of ram to work properly and service pack 1 of course. If its XP the the 1 gig is just fine.

should be as simple as file/export/mail

On mine....when swapping Xp, I just copied the folder containing all the emails.

Export/Import for the actual accounts works fine, but not the emails.

The actual email content folder is in....

C:Documents and Settings/Yourusername/Local Settings\Application Data\Identities

And just keep clicking folders from there.

You must have hidden system folders open to be viewed in Folder options ( Control Panel ) to find the above folders.

Save the information, and then copy it to the same folder on the new machine.

In the case of Vista, I dont have a damn clue where that will be though lol.

I know on the UKLegacy Forum on of the guys asked....
sod that, easier just to link it lol

Export them, save them to new comp, then import them.
