All 8 still intact. Despite number six bore being not perfect from the last lot of damage??
I'm deffo hitting York again soon. Not as fancy as the Pod, but the burnout pit and traction is poop hot !!!!

Perry,
Congratulations on getting into the 11's any quicker and your going to be needing wheelie bars!
I'm tempted to bring mine up to the Pod, but the new engine is going in on wednesday and that doesn't leave much time to make sure all is ok before a longish journey, obviously I need to get a few miles on it before considering giving it a run at a strip.
One thought, any cooling problems with the bigger engine with the BV8 rad?
Kevin.

No probs at all with the stock MGB V8 rad and the 4.6 mate. Forget having to race, just come up to the Pod for the Retro Cars show on Saturday and hole up with my MG Drag Racing Club in the pits. It will be a nice gentle bedding in run for your new build.
If you want to have a day out I can wangle you a pit pass so you can park up with 14 other MGB's in the business area and not the fields with the spectators cars. You dont have to race mate. Just rock up and pose with a lot of the other B's.
I'll be ragging the tits of mine though. Looking for that 10.99 second pass I am.
PM me your postal address if you want a pit pass in the post. I only have 2 left out of my allocation of 20 for the MGDRC. I have 14 MGB's coming. One old Motorbike. One old Escort and few later style cars as guests in the pits.
The editor of the MG Owners Club Mag will be on site as our official photographer for the day as well. So if you come over, you will get into Enjoying MG mag in August or Sept edition.
One of the guys rolling with us on Saturday is Ian Metcalf. He has almost finished the rebuild of his MG Magnette, which will be in Bonneville next year for a stab at the 200mph record. Minus the stock engine of course!!
Its a good day out, and the only day of the year that I let my MG Drag Racing Club buddies loose on the strip.

HMM??
Strange twist on the Retro day out for me.
I could only hit 11.9's throughout the day. So I decided to up the nitrous jets.
I had made a mistake when I jetted up at York. I was only running an 80hp shot of gas with a 150hp shot of petrol. No wonder she was bogging down.
It was a chilly damp day at York but warm and dry at the Retro show.
I stuck a 150 nitrous jet in for the last run and she went well up to 1/8th mile where I ran out of gas.
I'm hitting North Weald this Sunday to try and dial the system back in from scratch. I may not race, but at least I dont have to worry about upsetting the neighbours by running on open pipes for an hour or two while testing.
