Got my car back from a body shop today to repair the damaged fibreglass wing, had a look at it before I signed the form. All seemed ok and was happy.

Anyway, just had another look at it in slightly better light, (it was bright sunshine earlier) and you can still see the cracks in the gel coat stuff in places.

The haven't ground the cracks out and filled them with resin/gelcoat they have just chipped off the loose bits, filled it and sprayed over it. The cracks aren't too obvious.

Shall I send it back or shall I just leave it....?

It's likely the cracks may open up. Take it back, the fact you've signed for it doesn't really matter. It's all too easy to accept shoddy work - I've done it myself all too often and regretted it.

Depending on how much the work cost you, you may want to take it further if they get shitty with you - "The provision of goods and services act" gives you a level of cover aginst these things, which they are legally bound by. There's plenty of info on the web for the process of going down this road if you want to - just gotta decide if it's worth it for the price paid for the work.

Call the assessor. They have a legal obligation to put you in the position you were before the accident. Accept no crap that the fibreglass was old and brittle. If they say it cannot be repaired then they either fit you new panels or you take the cash equivalent. If no movement after a while start a small claims court action for the value of the repairs/new kit against the bus company.
