I am with the NFU, I first went to them with my first Rangy, it was a complete bitsa, I changed the engin on it and added alot of bits to it that normally gives insurance companies the hives, they didn't give a stuff, or charge me any extra. All they seemed to want to do was for me to tell them whenever I did any thing extra. Same story when I LPG'ed the second range rover, just wanted a copy of the certificate on the installation.
Still with them 10 years later, a real pleasure to deal with them.

poppet valves rule!
Adrian Flux for the Landie.
For my van, I insured it as a standard vehicle to start with (because it was!) via the normal on-line brokering methods.
After I modified it, I spoke to the underwriters directly who added about £18 to the premium!

i was or am a convicted driver, 4 1/5 years ago i was court driving with no insurance and then driving on the ban... yes it was dum i know!!
however according to dvla website both convictions only last for 4 years, so im free now, im with Flux but dont like them much, and they are arsy abotu further modifactions,
i paid £450 last year (im 23 now) but i had a quote for £370 from budget but budget wouldnt take me up because i couldnt proove the reg of the car my current engine came from cause i got it frooma breakers, however once i V8 my car i do have the reg of the range rover so i will go back to them i think,
online they have quoted me £255, but i need to call them as its subject to confirmation.
adrian flux are oposite to NFU by sounds of things!

Do a google for MSM insurance - I'm with them for the 40 - about £270 a year but I have full no claims and mid 40s so that helps too They have also given me a guaranteed sum of £25k for a write off
also Osborne I have heard are quite good

HIC do a good deal IF you have a UK built engine like a Rover V8, they will not insure American V8's.

I think I need to look at Sykes Tony. I'm 49 and they are charging me over £400 a year for my MGB with 3000 miles limit.

Adrian flux that is, not Sykes....
My MGB only does about 3k a year if I'm lucky.
