Engine identification

I have just joined the forum as I have recently bought a 1968 Mk 2 Cortina with a Rover V8 engine. I am trying to identify it to save time when buying bits and faced with question 'what car is it for'.
Engine number on side is 451113000 (could be a D) above that. It has 925:1 CR above it which I assume is the compression ratio. However another site says that range of numbers has a 10.5 :1 ratio.
Also number on drivers side cylinder head. ERC 0216X and below that is 3 E652.
Destributor has no obvious marks such as make but has a black top. carb is a mighty Edelbrock.
