Slow, we had a problem with the 4.2 crank from JE, when we got it out of the box it had rust on the journals, chatter marks on the chamfers and was 020 not 010 as described

Spoke to John and he was very apologetic and promised to go through his stock and find me a good one. New crank arrived Wednesday and I inspected it and it appears to be perfect so now happy, and we can get on with the test build and measure, so that we can ascertain what machining work is required.

I then have to collect all the internals to take them to Real Steel for balancing, unfortunately they are now backed up and it will be 4 weeks delay from when I deliver the parts until I get them back.

At least the machining work on the block andthe Buick 300 heads can be done in the interim and it can be put together once I deliver the parts back to the engine builder.

The block is already bored and plateau honed to take the Keith Black Chevy 305 Pistons and the piston looks very nice in the bore, I must remember to take some pics next week when its test built.

Kevin.
