High mileage SBC oil choice.......

Friend's got a 350 SBC with 150,000 miles on it (still runs like a dream with the punch to match though, I told him it was probably barely run in 
).
Asked me what oil I'd recommend for such a beastie, first thing that sprung to mind was Halfords classic 20/50.
However, not wanting to jump the gun, I thought I'd ask here first for a more informed view.....
