Flapper or Hotwire?

Now that I have got my landy back on the road and starting to think ahead to all the upgrades I can do to it.

I am thinking about at least replacing my Dizzy with either Megajplt or MS and toying with EFI so MS seems the way to go.

I have seen various EFI inlet manifolds on ebay and wanted to know which is the best to get and how to spot the difference?

i.e. whats this?

Hi ,
That's a flapper type injection manifold, missing the throttle pot .

I have a 3.9 hotwire manifold for sale, if you're interested. It's totally complete including the plenum, the "green band" injectors, fuel rail and throttle pot.

This set up came off an engine about 2 months ago, and the only problem on it , is one faulty injector.

I'm looking £50.00 + p/p for it , if you're interested.

Hi Jim,

Thanks for the offer but its only a fact finding mission at the moment.

Before I start converting to injection I have a few other jobs to sort out:

Fix the horendous whine from the gearbox
Stop the overdrive leaking oil.
Work out why when I drive through a puddle the roof lining, windscreen, dash & driver gets soaked :o
Fit door seals to the back door.
Replace the viscous fan thats about self destruct
Etc etc.

My other possible plan is to use an EFI manifold as a throttlebody and run 100% LPG but not sure yet.

Cheers

Jon

Shameless self promotion:
I've put pics of EFi, GEMS and Thor inlet manifolds on my website for easy comparison:

at the bottom of the page.
