if you are hunting on ebay there are a few 4.8 and 5.3 LM engines iron block versions of the LS chevy, about 50-75lb heavier than the LS (the 5.3 has an autobox on it) for $1800 and $3700 , and very complete one with 4 miles on it one with 88 miles, even with shipping, duty and vat that to me is cheep.

"TVR Factory figures"
was the reply. I replied saying if it put out that amount the crank would snap

They are special TVR bred blackpool ponies, about 1.2x more powerful than a normal ponie.
My mates grif 500 recently put down 300bhp (dyno dynamics - calculated flywheel figure) - engine was standard apart from:
Megasquirt (therefore no AFM - big help)
EDIS8
ACT trumpets
STD 65mm inlet (!!)
On the same day, most others were putting down considerably less. (i.e. 250-270)

He also sold it outside ebay as the auction seemed to be ended early.
I recently got a telling off from ebay, and had my auction ended by them as I told folk in the text that I had set the reserve at 300 quid for my item??

yeah they are pretty tight on things nowadays, anyone else notice their charges have gone up quite a bit as well?
I sold a bunch of stuff the other week, made about 300. Fees were about 40, paypal about 30, plus 50 postage, then i forgot the bloody final value fees which stumped me for another 45 quid. I may as well not have bothered!

Everyone knows they're donkeys, not ponies
