I have been searching summitracing.com for a new 10" 3500rpm stallspeedconverter for my new 727 that I took from a RangeRover 3,5.
Is it a dodge, amc, chrysler or a spesial rover type?

727 = Torqueflite.
Torqueflite = Mopar (Chysler/Dodge/AMC)

Hi
Its a Little confusing as to what it is.
If it came from an early rangerover its a torqueflight but it you look on the side it says 998 I think. This is a hybrid of a 727 and 904. im also not sure if it was a v8 or 6cyl box. trying to find out myself at the moment. A couple uf usefull links.

Hi again.
Mine is an 11inch converter if that helps.
You can have them rebuilt if you have the original one. Mine cost £100 but is at standard settings.
Make sure you have the flex plate and the 2 spacers one on each side as these spacers are almost impossible to get new.

Thanks for the links and info Alex!
On the side of the tranny I found this number: PK3836023 8595 3432
But I sent the converter to modifying today.
The shop told me they could put the stallspeed up 7-800rpm.

Hi there.
I see you had a bit of bad luck
I managed to get hold of the crank side spacer from John Craddocks, a land rover parts place with lots of old stock, Give them a try or if you want Ill pop in on friday.
I suppose it would be possible to have one turned up locally aswell.

Hi
As for the number there is one on the side looks like someone wrote it on freehand in alluminium. If that makes sense I think thats where it relates to 727, 904, 998, Ill take a closer look when I get my car back hopefully this weekend.
