Can somone give me some idea on the best box to use will a 5ltr Rv8 will be tuned to about 330-350 BHP.

I asume a T5 would be best,
Will only be used on the track.

Also an Idea of cost would be handy.

T5, may last, but I doubt it, I would go for my Favorate Toyota Supra box, The non turbo version has taken ALL the abuse I have given it, but the turbo box is even stronger.

Excuse me for the silly question, but what's the difference between a 2WD and a 4WD gearbox? (except that a trans-axle is 2WD). Is it just a case that a 2WD 'box has a flanged output for prop-shaft connection, and a 4WD box has a splined output for a tranny box? Or are there other differences?
Sorry I'm a dirty hijacker.

Why not buy an Allison auto-box? 6 speed and will handle millions of horses! (not literally!)

Ummm a auto in a Track car.

Also Im not 100% sure the differance in a 2WD and 4WD box, but just wanted to make sure it was fine for 2wd.

Also any idea or model numbers for the Supra box. and how hard would it be to connect to a RV8

Thanks
Leigh

I made my own bellhousing from a welded up auto bellhousing, but it does involve turning and milling bits, not a problem for me,

Dellow make their own bellhousings, but are in OZ, I know they do export to here,

I've also found this website http://carfiche.com/manuals022/cars/ which has a list of various car manuals, including the mk3 Supra where the R154 gearbox comes from. Might come in handy for someone. Note that not all of the manuals are available at the same time.
