I _think_ I've fixed it. The forum is now running on a new shiny server that we have much better control of. Please email me at
dave@smithfamily.org.uk if you see it re-occur. I had to wind the database back to the last backup (approx 4am this morning) so a couple of recent posts will have been lost. Sorry about that.

I broke it again this morning trying to update some of the extensions. Whilst fixing that I've also blocked off a lot of the nefarious scrapers and probers so when it does actually work, it should be quicker

Since the fix, I'm now regularly seeing this when clicking on new threads. If I however go into the user's profile and then search for threads and then click on the url it displays fine.

'Resource Temporarily Unavailable' normally means a
HTTP 503 error. Unfortunately the detailed logs only go back to 3am yesterday, but there is a less granular one going back to when I got this new server working. There were a load of 503 errors early on 30th March from a bot attack, but I nixed that with better security. I can't find any 503 errors since then.

When I clicked on the link in the email notification, I could see the reply fine. But when I clicked on the Reply button, the same message is displayed. I then removed all the &sid stuff from the url and then the Reply button worked fine. Maybe it's a cache thing in my browser, but I have this happening on two different laptops (although using the same browser).

Ah, it's the sid stuff because that is a major indicator of a bot so I generally block URLs with it but forgot it appears in emails
I'll get that fixed.

Email forwarded. As well as it worked by clicking on the email link, when I just hit the reply button here, I got the same resource message. Different laptop than earlier today, but same browser (Brave).

OK, I've made an update to the security config (caddy as a reverse proxy if anyone is curious
) so _hopefully_ when you get an email notification about this post, the link will work to get you here.
