I have a Sebring with a V8 3.5 engine in it.

I'm sure the wiring is from the Rover donor car.

The wires have been pulled from the ignition switch and I am
not entirely sure which ones should go where.

The pic shows the ignition switch and the terminals are arrowed
with: Battery-Ignition- ST and ACC.

The wires colours are: Red-Yellow-Black/White and Black/Blue.

I don't want to guess as I like the car and don't want anything burning out.

They are not standard ignition colours!! You are going to have to find out where they go...

One of them will be a permanent feed from the battery which you could find with a test lamp. The other three are probably accessories, ignition, crank engine.

So dab the permanent feed on each one in turn and see what happens.
