just looking at the air intake hose for my 4.6 thor engine.
Looking at the part on Rimmer bros PHD104050 it seems to have a couple of chambers piped into the side of the main hose.
I also noticed this on my jag the other day.
What are they? What do they do?
Do I have to include something similar between the TPS and the MAF on my engine?
Any answers gratefully accepted.

Wow - who knew!

I think I will indeed fit the proper intake hosewith the Hemholtz resonators fitted and tuned.

Makes you wonder what else I don't know - yet

Indeed. I am amazed at how much engineering car manufacturers put into this sort of detail, only to have it ditched by some wise kid whose bought an induction kit from Halfords and swears it's better.......
