Hi all,
I've made a conrod balancing jig to measure end to end weight, repeatable to 1gm.
I weighed the little ends and having made them all equal i now need to make the rods all the same weight taking it off the big end.
Now the largest variance is 9gms ( next one is 5gms) , am i ok taking all this off the be bearing cap? If so theres a small central lug but doubt I'd get it all off that alone, can i reduce the size of the stiffning ridges either side of this a little too?

Yes you'll be ok removing material from the ridges providing you dont go overboard
