Help my gearbox is leaking oil from the bell housing and chuckling it out of the dip stick tube! Any ideas why?
This is the first time I've run up the engine and box and was trying to check the oil level in the box when it happened
I have a low mileage 65 from a jag can anyone tell me if the bell housing and tail housing from the rover box can be fitted on to the jag box?

Check that the breather pipe isn't blocked, if it is that could force fluid out. The box may also be overfilled.

All of the Rover bits can be fitted to the Jag box, but you've got to dismantle the box to do it because the tailshaft comes out forwards.
