Anyone know the figure for a standard engine running SU carbs?
Cheers

Not sure what BSFC means [

] but if you're after a power figure then hardcastle reckons a carburetted landrover produces 134 BHP @ 5000rpm and 187 lb/ft torque at 2,500 rpm.

Brake Specific Fuel Consumption?
Surely it very much depends what engine condition, state of tune, ancillaries? i.e. there is no set answer

Not to mention gearing of course. I have heard of many guys getting 20-25 mpg from 3.5s pootling about but as Bill says there are so many variables you cant make any concrete predictions. If you're thinking of buying a car i'd suggest budgeting for 15mpg and being highly delighted with any change!
