Some mad thoughts

OK so how easy would it be to fit a RWD axle setup into something like a Renault Espace, I have some mad thoughts about different engines and drive configuration for my mums old car and as its worth about nothing it would be an ideal (ie cheap) candidate for a project. Was thinking of a mid engined version with a V8 of course.

I obviously have too much time on my hands

We fitted a live axle into the back of my Sons Escort MK6.(Drag only car) The original set up was the axle mounted onto the existing trailing arms. It worked ok but did look odd when the rear of the car went upwards on acceleration. I think it was ok but Jason didnt like it. We then fitted cart springs which he didnt like either. So we then welded in some 50 x 50 x 3 box section and bolted the axle in solid. So thw only suspension now is the slicks themselves :)

Ok read cover to cover looks awesome, not quite what I was intending though but certainly gives me more to think about.

Maybe maybe, mid mount engine maybe on a smallish spaceframe which is the attached to the Espace.....

Dunno still just a bunch of silly thoughts in my head
