Hi all, tearing my hair out. Advice wud be much appreciated. Scimitar with sdi v8, twin su's had lumpy running probs for months. Y,day had fuel pouring out of the overflow. Took carbs to bits. Now ticking over on 6 but if i floor it its fine. Middle 2 cylinders are not firing on tick over. Ps mallory dual point ign. Help[/u]

have your floats collapsed/ become punctured? the floats then are less buoyant and the bowels flood and over flow. Are the needle valves in good condition? they can fail and leak allowing the bowels to flood. What sort of condition are the pistons needles in? does everything move properly is air leaking around the pistons?

Thanks for quick reply. Floats seem ok but needle valves? Not sure how to tell. Service kit would prob be a good idea. Cant understand why the middle 2 cylinders are not firing?

Compression test ?

Does the camshaft have bumpy bits for all 8, or some rounds bits ? lol
