Well Hot Rod Magazine Dragweek is coming up.
Its all about the fastest "street" cars in the world.
They wanted Andy to come over for years to prove that he's the fastest.
Every time they think they break a record... Andy breaks theirs again.

For those who are following Dragweek thell know what its all about, hosted by HRM editor David Freiburger, also known from the Roadkill video's

They don't even know, its 6.4 on the English ¼ mile which is longer than the US ¼ mile.
Figured that out a few years back on the Main event when a US bird was surprised she didn't drove her usual ET's unless she where told later on the British folks do not only drive on the wrong side of the road.... even their mile differs. Its just about a few feet.......... but just a few feet can make the difference.

Back on topic...some bloke make's a film and did put in on Youtube just to upset the US guys which apparently did work. As I found out on Bangshift.

If your in to the "Ol" BBC series Allo Allo you sure will like this.
I was eating watching this and can highly recommend do not put anything in your mouth watching this because you will almost choke in it..

That is so funny. I would have given good money to see that live. Should have told her a Brit 10-incher is bigger too...... 8)

The US adopted the 'international' mile in 1959 - apart from some specific purposes like land survey.

The old US mile is called the survey or statute mile - and is 3.2 mm longer than the UK mile.

So there's a lot of bollocks going on somewhere. :D

Well given this isn't pistonheads and i'm not going to get censored or slapped down by his cohort slinky - perhaps we can raise the question of how fast it would do the 1/4 on road legal tires (drag radials are they called) rather than slicks?
As i feel its not fair to claim the time when its achieved with tires that a not street legal.

some drag radials are street legal mate,
they are a dot rated street/race tyre
hoosiers, bfg drag radials Mickey Thompson ETstreet radials etc
all have to be street legal to run in street class.

IIRC on drag week, the cars can run on slicks,BUT they have to carry them with them !
That's why all the race cars have tow bars,so they can carry their spares,
