either convert the capri to hydraulic, see thev8kids site for details or convert the box to cable. To convert to cable you just need to drill a hole in the bellhousing in the bit that sticks out where the clutch fork sits. The whole needs to be inline with the dimple in the fork where the pushrod would sit against. You then drill 2 wholes in the fork, one in the middle of the dimple which is the size of the cable and another one as big as the nipple off to the side and slot between them. That's about it apart from making or getting made a custom cable. Down side of going the cable route is its a long run and it changes direction a couple of times. I did one for a guy a few months ago but the car hasn't been built up yet so I have no idea how light or heavy the clutch is.

Just keep it hydraulic.
I have the master cilinder directly operated by the pedal. I have welded a small bracked on the steering colum above the clutch pedal inside the car and fitted the master cilinder on that. Its operating and conected the same way like the brake pedal. The only difference is that the brake pedal joint to the brake master cilinder sits below the shaft (so it pushes to the front) and my clutch pedal joint to the clutch master cilinder sits above the shaft (so it pushes to the rear).
From the master cilinder I have a small pipe running to the engine bay where the reservoir sits.

If you run the cable from the front, let the nipple go through the arm and through the bellhousing. Then use a plate (with a slot in it) to clamp the niple outside the bellhousing.
The ford cable then works perfectly (you might need a spacer on the bulkhead end depending on your car).
I know it sounds a bit wierd (and probably isn't described very well) but the outer cable pushes the arm. I did this on my Cobra (Sumo) with no problems.

No I know exactly what you mean and its a good idea. It wasn't possible to do it this way on the conversion I did as it had a winged sump which covered where the cable would have had to go. It was for a Sierra and there was so much had to be cut out the front of the sump that a winged sump was the only way to go.

I've tried the converting the box to cable method and it sucks. The bulkhead flexes ALOT! Also the pedal is silly heavy too. You could do what alot of people do and thats have the master cylinder operated by the original cable by way of a lever mechanism, or i converted my pedal box to use a master cylnder with remote resevoir and it works perfectly.

You can use an adaptor plate if you want but it it might not be the simplest or best route to take.
