I finally pulled my finger out my butt and got the cortina running this week, came home on monday 2 c my lad had washed the 12 months worth dust and all the crap the tumble dryer kicks out off it and it looked like a new car. So i made the new throttle cable and put it on and she started 1st time. Throttle sticking at the minute due 2 the front butterfly not seating rite in the plenum( a job 4 later 2day), i took it 2 bits 12 months ago 2 convert 2 centre pull and reverse the butterflys 2 opoen the opersite way and then it got left. Got the british car show day on sunday so will take it 2 wind up a few purists

Took it out 2nite and drove sedately till she warmed up and then nailed it out of a roundabout and the throttle jammed open, it was the coil springs on the spindles fouled up, noticed when lettin off the power slowing down it gets transmission shunt real bad, seriously lookin at gettin shot of the twin plenum and goin t/b's and mappable so as 2 make it more drivable.
