New member from Southampton just started to fit RV8 in MK 1 cortina.
Anyone done this would like to chat probs with sump short nose pulleys rad engine mounts omg help please.

Just thought I would say welcome, I can't help you directly with this conversion, however I am pretty sure someone will be along soon who can. Ian Stewart on here had a rover in a Mk2 and there are several rovers in Capris.

Why not fit the front end from a Range Rover P38. The front of the water pump shaft is 5.5inches from the front of the engine block. I think it is as short as you can go. You just need to sort out a distributorless ignition system.
