Discovery v8 remap

Post by Big woof »

Hi all I am thinking off getting a remap chip for my land rover discovery 3.9 v8 been hunting around and doesn't seem to be a lot off places selling them or offering a service to fit or program one for me.
I ain't after big amounts off power just a small lift in extra power a higher rev limit and speed limiter removal. Any one know off any one still making the chips for the 3.9 14cux ecu thanks micheal

Probably easier and cheaper to fit a MegaSquirt - and get the benefits of programmable ignition too. That can be done in stages - you could start out fuel only.

It's a bit out off my price range at the moment Dave mate. I'm looking at a few mods first. Cam shaft it's just incase I can't afford a mega squirt system then I can at least Increase the fueling if I need to.

Both Mark Adams in the UK (Tornado Systems) and Bruce Davis Land Rover in Sydney sell customised plug in chips for 3.9/4.6 hotwire applications. Reasonably economical and easy installation.

That sounds good to me does that mate plug and play sounds like a good idea
Might just keep the Lucas system for the moment with the amount off money that I have spent on sensors for my little beastie makes more sense to me to keep the Lucas system till it goes wrong again and then fit mega squirt or so e thing along those lines
