Hi, I have recently bought a mk2 Hilux pickup fitted with a rover v8 mated
to the Hilux box. I bought it as a non runner, lots of wiring has been pulled
no coil or wiring, just an electronic dizzy with three wires running to a
Luminition ignition unit, nothing else.
I want to fit the v8 into my mk3 pickup, but I want to get it running first.
How can I identify wich V8 I have? where is the engine number?

Engine number is on the block face beside the dipstick - usually covered in oil.

Ok, found the number, thanks again Dave.

34128319F. Still non the wiser.

Anybody help with identifying this engine, or where it
originates from?
