Hi guys,
it's looking like i wont be able to attend this weekend due to a back injury while possibly trying to get the Capri finished,
was laid up most of yesterday, and today i could not move, wife got me in to the doctors where they said i have torn my sciatic nerve in my lower back
signed off work for a week (no pay), on pain killers, and if no better by Thursday she said i will be taken into hospital,
anyone fancy driving the cappa if im not fit and getting sometimes on the 1/4 for me?

Hi Coops
Sorry to hear about the back, you have my great sympathy, I have had trouble with My sciatic nerve pinching in my lower back/hip area for years and it is miserable.
I presume you have had lots of advice, but a good cold compress (bag of frozen peas) held on the area gives me about the best relief I can get (apart from accupunture that is) and support your back properly. Take the advice about rest to heart, get it well before you strain it in any way.
Best regards
Mike

Hi Tony,
I have also suffered for years. Mine goes into spasm every so often and takes on the shape of an S bend. Normally rest for a few days and it normally settles down again. Proper Brufen tablets are also very good at relaxing the muscles but only available from the Doctor.
regards
Reg

You have my sympathy as a fellow sufferer
I currently swear by chiropractic manipulation.
Takes a few minutes and the relief is instant. It will get you driving your car again in no time

I don't have sciatic problems, but have a 25% compression fracture of my L1 vertebra and when it goes bad, I go to my Chinese Medicine dude and he does the pressure points and massage routine on me and it fixes me up nicely.
I don't know if you can get it in UK, but Cataflam-D (Diclofenac) is a good anti inflammatory for me until I can see my mechanic.

Jason was gonna bring the Frankenscort... But broken pistons happened on the last outing.
I couldnt come because I had to work. And also I'm an MG man so I would have burst into flames if I had touched a Ford !!
