I was 30 mins from having the Pod all to myself today. I was the only person to go today.
I spent 3 hours tuning the carb under the new tunnel. Then went to race control for a coffee with Ian Marshall, Marcus, Nicki, baby Dave, Carole and a few other pod staff. They all laughed when me and my Son came into the sign on office. Nicki gave us some chocs to eat.
The comment was "if anyone turned up today, we guessed it would be the MG"

The tractor and water sucker truck had been on track for 2 hours. If it didnt rain in 30 mins they were going to get the dryer out and start glueing!!
I said "you surely wont open the track for one car??"
I was told that a few weeks back the Pod was open for a test day with only 4 cars on site.
This was when I said "I hope it rains then"!!
When asked why I said "I would love to try some normally aspirated launches. But I cant attempt a full nitrous pass just yet as I need new plugs and I'm not happy with my new seat and harness" I then said that I would prefer a rain off as it meant me and the boy could get in free to the next RWYB.
So we hung around in the office talking all sorts until it started raining again at 12.20 and the office called it a rain off...,Result

So I got to rev the nuts off the car witout upsetting the neighbours and I got two free tickets to the next RWYB

On the other hand. It would have made good news and pics if the MGB had the Pod all to itself eh??
