So is it perfectly acceptable to reverse the flow in a RV8? (Obviously you would need to mod the water pump or use an ewp)

An alternative would be to block the waterway between the block and heads(where the head gasket is)- tap a hose connection on the rear of each head and block and put a tiny rad (oil cooler size) inline to dissapate some heat between the water leaving the block and entering the head, and still keeping the original cooling circuit!

Not sure if that makes any sense but I think it would be easy to impliment and would provide the optimal cooling for block and heads, and would also let the main rad be able to cope easier for hard use!

yes I see what your saying but how practical that would be I don't know. You would need large bore or you might restrict the coolant flow too much. Probably much easier to get a new radiator and like you say mode the pump or use electric.
