Well i dont want to start setting outlandish targets because we all know how hard it is to get big revs out of a rover (apart from your motor obviously ;) ) but ive got very light everything in there, and a good valvetrain. The fundamentals such as bore/stroke ratio and valve size/capacity ratio are all geared towards allowing high rpm. My rods ratio is excellant for an rv8 too. I dont take too much notice of quoted powerbands for cams because i think if you're motors not spot on you can knock 1000rpm off either end (or both ends!) of those quotes, however the cam specs at 256'/262' Dur. @ .050" lift and .536"/.546" lift so you can get an idea of potential operating range. Obviously i'll creep up bit by bit with the limiter hopefully preventing any nasty overuns along the way. If its still climbing by 7000 i shall be well pleased. Ultimately the springs may well prove to be the limiting factor.
