Well Ap do a paddle type and also an uprated clutch (organic) rated at 34ft.lbs

the paddle is £360 and the HD £280. The Mcleod is also about 280 from realsteel

Ap recomend a paddle type for off road use, but also say it is not suitable for the road.... I need both! :D

If you're trying to be careful off road and doing crawling etc then I'd say dont go near the paddle, if you're going hell for leather everywhere and clutch control isn't an issue in the slightest, go for the paddle. You'll get used to it on the road if you decide to do it.

Personally for off roading I'd go for the uprated std clutch, I like having some fine control, but then my 90 isnt a racer- its a landy that likes going round a quarry sometimes!!!

p.s. if you go for the paddle and find you need to ride it whilst teetering on the edge of a big drop, you will probably find that when you go to drive up a big hill 2 minutes later it's knackered!!!

Trouble is I do slow mud plugging/rock crawling but also high speed off roading when I get the chance.... trouble is most off-roading i can find isnt suitable for high speeds! :(

either way, i do both and also road driving (however when not stuck in traffic i tend to floor it most of the time) so kinda need an all weather clutch

without trying a paddle clutch, it looks like i will prob go for the HD organic facing

Sorry it's a little late but here's my 2 penith: :)

The main reason cerametallic clutches are harsher in their take up is beacuse they have no or very little compresability (is that even a word! )

Organic clutch plates arn't rivited tight together, they are slightly seperated which means for the available clutch travel there is more progerssion between dissengaged and engaged.

Try squashing a regular organic clutch plate between your fingers. you will feel a slight spring. On a cerametallic there will be none, which means less travel between dissengaged and diss engaged and less feel.

If you need good clutch control on mud and rocks I would stay away from cerametallic clutch drive plates. Go for a HD organic one. IIHO
