It will be a car for the odd occasion on the road and for going to shows..

at the minute i just want it to run and be reliable, maybe some light mods in the future, but for now just get it in and running.

If that is the use I would do the basics as sugested before and go for a cam like the RC87 (had one in my first Range rover matched a mild spec engine with tubular exhausts very well), might want to give the heads a basic clean up, remove casting flash and blend the seat inserts into the casting, three angle seat job, but only if you have the heads off.
