That thought also crossed my mind but surely it's been bedded in already. If not will I be ok to fire it for a few seconds then shut it down again. What's the procedure for bedding it in? Can I tell if it's been done?

Had it fired up today. Fitted a new Edelbrock 500 carb and manifold kit from RPI. Sounds really good. Needs a good tune up though. Timing was well out but did get it better and ticking over. Then it ran out of petrol. Better get used to that. Lol
