SD1 LT77 transducer DRC 8007A
Hi
I am looking for a speedo transducer for an LT77 box on my Kit Car application (3.5 V8 SD1). Can anyone tell me if the DRC 8007 fitted to the LT77 on the old Jaguar's is the same transducer as the DRC 8007A fitted to the Rovers? Also, I know these units are as rare as "hens teeth", but can anyone advise where I can get one from, at a reasonable price?
Many Thanks
Martin

That's the 20 teeth one (orange) for the 3.08 rear axle so the most common.martin_t wrote:Hi

DRC8172 is the same but with a different connector.
Other ratio ones are still available, and you could use an alternative plus a Jaycar speedo corrector. But of course you'd have to change the internal drive gear to the matching one.
If you have the original and it's not working, some say they can be repaired. The usual fault is a lead fractures where it is soldered to the coil. So you need to dig out the epoxy sealant.

Could you tell me a way of testing the transducer to check if its OK or not? (without the engine running or car rolling as I am not in the position at the moment).
Thanks
Martin
