It's an easy swap if you use the Magnum engineering kit and the T5 Cosworth box, I did it a few years ago and it makes the Sierra into a very good car :D The T5 means you can use a standard Cossie prop and the gearstick is in the right place in the tunnel.

Cheers Mark,it seems that the way forward is via magnum engineering as they do all the bits,an i gotta find a tidy cossy box to replace my mt75(4b)

MT 75 would be a real pain in the butt to fit the Rover V8 as the flywheel is bigger than the bell housing :?

Pretty sure the flange on all the sierra diffs are the same.

But if using a T5, you will need a T5 propshaft.

The 4x4 shaft is totally different.

Better look for a prop then
Im in negotiations to buy a 3 door sierra with a full Rv8 conversion that i can strip out and fit in my4b,its running a type 9 box at the mo (easy on the launches  ) but i can use it to set everything up and then swap out the box n prop for a T5.
I can see having to get the bell housing re-machined to suit the cos box but im getting the car for the right price so im not too fussed.
