Doh! - did I do any damage?
I recently ran up my RV8 in a test bed type situation to check oil pressure etc and made a stupid mistake. Basically, I connected all crankcase vents into the manifold vacuum and did'nt put a breather in the system. After a couple of minutes there was a squeaking noise and I immediately shut it down...

TVR LT77 question
No, this is being advertised as LT77 but i suspect you are correct that it is a R380 - the part number is 28A 0238539 H.

TVR LT77 question
Will the standard Rover remote fit onto a TVR box?
Obviously the TVR remote is completely different but I assume it uses the same mounting lugs - or were they changed on the later boxes??

I've got a LT77 in my MGB and have clearance for the reverse detent assembly, seems to me you have the gearbox offset in the car which I would avoid if possible. Must be very close on the reversing light switch as well. Dave Hi Dave, Mine's an MGA which narrows more at the back of the gearbox. I ha...

My Car has it completely removed, never been a drama. Dont c how u can hit reverse instead of 4th when they r in completely the opersite direction on a rover box? Thanks Demo2, That was my thinking, my old Mondeo had a similar arrangement and you could easily select reverse instead of first, but in...

LT77 Reverse detent
The spring loaded reverse detent on my LT77 fouls the trans tunnel on my V8 project, mainly because the tunnel narrows at this point. I'm considering removing the detent mechanism completely, as any protrusion from the side of tunnel will interfere with the handbrake. Has anyone done this/have any v...

Anyway thanks for comments Marki, I've had the axle for sometime, its definitely the narrow one and I was fairly sure of the ratio but will che...

Scimitar rear axle
Hi, I'm interested in comments, suggestions and views of my choice of axle for my Rover V8 powered MGA, project, which is a H4A axle from a Reliant Scimitar. The reason for this choice went as follows: The right ratio at 3.07 Strong enough to cope with power Correct PCD for MG Existing four link/coi...
