I've got a Rover SD1 V8 running on a stand, and just bought the instrument pod hoping to get rev counter, some warning lights and gauges working.

Can anyone list what colour wires connect to these circuits, or send a photo of the plugs which show them?

I've got the wiring diagram but continuity ...

I've got an SD1 engine on a stand and I'm trying to get it running. The dizzy is a 35DE8, coil is new "AccuSpark ACU 198 coil suitable for factory electronic ignition systems". The ballast resistor is missing, what do I need? I don't see one for sale for SD1, there are some on ebay but they have two ...

OK Thanks. One reply leads to another question. What do I do with the pipe leaving the left hand carb? The equivalent one to the clean pipe on the right hand carb. (I must remember to take smaller photos)

OK so what should go in the hole?

One of these must be the oil pressure warning light switch but which one, and what's the other?

Is this the vacuum advance pipe connection? If not what?

What's this and where do the two pipes connect?

What's this red bit?

What switch is this attached to the inlet manifold?

If the clean bit is petrol in, what's the pipe to its right?
