Hi I have an LT77 gearbox which has an orange 20 tooth electronic speedo transducer. I want to fit a mechanical speedo but the drive I have is the black 23 tooth variety. Can I simply fit this and calibtrate the new speedo to suit or will the drive gear in the gearbox chew it up? Many thanks for you...

Could it be condenser? (Apologies if you have electronic ignition). Had a similar problem on my engine which I assumed was fuel related and stripped the whole lot out, turned out to be a condenser that failed due to bad earth.
